Our thorough understanding of public assistance employment programs is reflected in both the depth and range of our experience. We have worked with all 50 states in the design and implementation of TANF’s predecessor, the JOBS program, and the administering of the Social Security Administration’s national Ticket to Work program, serving more than seven million SSDI and SSI recipients with obtaining employment and vocational rehabilitation services. MAXIMUS remains one of the nation’s largest private providers of employment program projects with similar performance expectations throughout the country which ensures South Bay and East County San Diego Divisions of Public Assistance of programmatic and performance excellence.
Everyday, MAXIMUS tangibly expresses its mission of "Helping Government Serve the People®" through the thousands of government contracts won and scores of programs we currently manage throughout the United States. Our Workforce Services Division has provided AFDC/TANF employment services throughout the United States since 1988, assisting over 350,000 persons in their efforts to find employment and begin their journey towards self-sufficiency. The Workforce Services Division, with over 1,200 employees, currently maintains over 70 contracts including managing major TANF employment programs in Los Angeles, Orange County (CA), San Diego, Washington D.C., Arizona, Wisconsin, and Delaware.
